The New Orleans Saints were set to begin their round of in-person interviews, but the weather pushed back their plans later this week, per NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero.
As things stood Tuesday, Mike Kafka, Aaron Glenn and Anthony Weaver had scheduled interviews with New Orleans. Kafka was first in line for Tuesday, while Glenn and Weaver were scheduled for Wednesday. All of these have been postponed due to the snow in New Orleans, but there is no official date set yet.
This update does not impact Mike McCarthy. His interview was already scheduled for the end of this week but without a specific date. If anything, this puts all future coaches in the same boat.
Other than Glenn, the Saints are not at risk of their other candidates taking a job before this week. And frankly, the weather had no bearing on Glenn’s decision. If Glenn leaves New York without a full deal on Tuesday, he will wait for the weather to clear in New Orleans.
